CFS GRINDING provides customers with three levels of Polished Concrete Finishes.

These are listed as PF 1; PF 2 & PF 3. Each level of finish has its own price point which fits the work required to achieve the finish suitable to the level.

PF 1: Grind the floor to a smooth & flat surface, removing any surface contaminants. Exposure of Aggregate is not controlled. Remove major grind marks from initial cutting (Not all marks will be removed). Clean floor & apply sealer (Min 2 coats).

With this level, any air holes, cracks or other imperfections are not repaired or filled. They will be noticeable. Recommend sealer for this finish is a solvent based acrylic sealer.

This level is often used in Carports, Verandahs, Warehouse Floors etc. This level of floor is easy to maintain, very affordable and will last for years.

PF 2:

Grind the floor to remove all surface contaminants and give an even exposure of Aggregate, (cannot guarantee complete exposure due to concrete laying methods). Remove major grind marks to give a smooth & flat surface. Apply grouting formula and regrind surface to fill air holes & other imperfections. Fill & repair cracks. This procedure gives the floor a tight & dense surface. Clean surface and apply sealer (Min 2 coats). Recommended sealer is Epoxy or Polyurethane.

This level is often used in Houses, Restaurants & Bars & Retail Showrooms etc. This level of floor is easy to maintain & generally has a high gloss finish that will last many years.

PF 3:

This is the ultimate in Polished Concrete finishes. Polished Concrete that has no surface coating. This finish has exceptional abrasion resistance & is low maintenance.

The process is the same as PF 2 up to the completion of the grouting to repair the surface. After this stage a densifier is applied to the surface. The floor is then polished with a series of resin pads to give the concrete a high gloss finish.

This level is often used in Retail Showrooms, Houses (Feature Floor), Restaurants & Bars & Shops.

This level has a high gloss finish that will perform for years and is very easy to maintain.
